Who we are

We’re a family business who have been providing professional building services since 1975: three generations of hard-working joiners, plumbers, electricians, painters and decorators.

Our many years of experience ensure that we can deliver high-quality construction projects at competitive prices.

We are based in the beautiful city of Edinburgh and have many local clients here, but also regularly work on building projects across the Lothians and Fife.

Why Waverley Construction?

Because Waverley Station is an Edinburgh icon:

  • It’s named after Sir Walter Scott’s (1771–1832) highly popular Waverley Novels
  • Waverley Station was the largest station in Britain from the 1890s until Waterloo Station was reopened in 1921
  • During the First World War the first ‘buffet for troops’ in Waverley served over 2 million meals to service personnel
  • At the start of the Second World War, more than 178,000 children were evacuated on trains to rural areas via Waverley station in just 3 days
